Situated in the heart of some of the most spectacular mountain scenery in the Highlands, Affric is one of the Glen Affric Chalets lying within a 3 acre site with 13 chalets dotted around it. With lovely views in all directions of the surrounding countryside, the spacious detached chalets are comfortably furnished with fitted kitchens to give a home from home ambience. The River Glass runs alongside the site, in which you are safe to paddle and provides a wonderful base for couples or families, looking to get away from it all, yet within easy reach of Inverness – the capital of the Highlands (26 miles) and the sandy beaches of the Moray Coast, famous for dolphin spotting. The village of Cannich has a Post office and a restaurant/pub with further facilities at Drumnadrochit and Loch Ness (15 minute drive). The site is also close to the Nature Reserve at Glen Affric (reputed to be one of the most beautiful glens in Scotland) where you can enjoy forestry walks and experience Plodda Falls. Other activities in the area include hill-walking, fishing, stalking, cycling, bird watching and pony trekking and for the more adventurous, canoeing, white water rafting and skiing are all within easy driving distance. A superb position for day trips to Skye and the West Coast as well as the Cairngorm National Park make this an ideal location for seeing a wide area of Scotland and to experience a bit of the outdoors. There is a shared barbecue area by the riverbank as well as a games room and children’s play area on site.
