Description
This unspoiled area is known as the Lakeland of Wales and has picturesque almost alpine scenery. Close by is a stunning nature reserve which even has a hide for watching otters. A wonderful location for mountain biking, birdwatching and walking (Glyndwrs and Cistercian Way Offas Dyke). There is fishing on the River Wye and on Elan Valley Nature Reserve's magnificent waters. The Royal Welsh Showground Victorian spa town of Llandridod Wells and the book town of Hay-on-Wye are close by.
