"Hoseseasons - Riviera Bay is a fantastic location sitting above St. Mary's Bay which is a gorgeous beach that one walks down to with lots of sand and rocks to explore. My family & I thought that it was the prettiest beach of the whole Torquay area, so we felt really privileged to be as close as we were. We enjoyed the steep climb down to it and because one has to walk to it, one is not unindated by any commercial organisations selling one things, eg. ice cream seller. So our 3 children were not harrasing us for anything except our time to build sandcastles, play games, etc. The brochure is quite correct in stating that the resort is not suitable for children in buggies or not able to walk very far. I would agree! The accomodation is simply furnished. The children's entertainment team were excellent, enthusiastic and inspirational with the games, dancing & events that they led. We would definitely come back. LOVED IT!"

The Log Cabin in Honiton. The Hills are a nationally important landscape and were designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in recognition of the special qualities of its natural and built environment. Being relatively unspoilt, the Hills offer a rare sense of timelessness. A network of hedges, mature hedgerow trees and small copses link a rich mosaic of semi-natural habitats. The area is perfect for walks, cycling and horse riding where the quiet bridleways and byways offer many opportunities to explore and enjoy the locally distinctive buildings, archaeological remains and natural flora and fauna. Sheldon is centrally located to explore attractions further away, such as the City of Exeter with its ancient Cathedral, High Street shopping and arts centres. Historic Honiton is also nearby, giving you a chance to find out more about the honey exports that gave the town its name and, a few miles south, you’ll find the unspoilt beaches of Exmouth and the rest of the Jurassic Coast..
